The Village of Barneveld has a Brush/Compost site located on South Jones Street just past the Sewer Plant.

We would like to remind all residents that NO GARBAGE, RECYCLING, FURNITURE, CARCUSES, PET FECES, APPLIANCES, ETC ARE TO BE DISPOSED OF AT THIS SITE.

Signs have been installed clearly marking each area, one for brush and one for compost.  Following are the requirements for utilizing the brush/compost piles.

BRUSH
You may include all branches and twigs.  YOU MAY NOT INCLUDE STUMPS IN THE BRUSH PILE.

COMPOSTING
You can compost the following items: all yard trimmings (leaves, grass clippings, weeds, thatch and the remains of garden plants), wood ash, kitchen scraps (fruit and vegetable peelings, eggshells and coffee grounds).  KITCHEN SCRAPS YOU MAY NOT INCLUDE IN THE COMPOSTING PILE ARE MEAT, BONES, AND FATTY FOODS SUCH AS CHEESE, SALAD DRESSING AND COOKING OIL.

Please remember it is YOUR compost/brush disposal site and in order for us to leave it open all must abide by the regulations.

PLEASE EMPTY ALL ITEMS OUT OF TRASH BAGS AND TAKE THE BAGS WITH YOU.
